Frequently Asked Questions

Basics

Who should use Landit?

Landit is for anyone who needs to report on or analyse data from cloud-based business systems:

  • Sales teams track performance across products and channels.
  • Inventory managers reconcile stock levels with sales activity.
  • Accountants streamline reconciliations and produce accurate financial reports without hours of manual work.
  • Executives and managers prepare board papers, monitor performance, and make confident, data-driven decisions.

No technical skills are required—Landit lets you use your existing Excel skills to work directly with your cloud data. You can build a report once and refresh it with a single click, avoiding the repetitive cycle of downloading and transforming data every time you need an update.

What do I need to use Landit?

To use Landit you’ll need:

  • A Microsoft 365 business or enterprise account.
  • The ability to set up a new connection in your source system (typically requires administrator rights, and sometimes an API license or API keys).
  • The Landit Excel Add-in, which gives you direct access to your data inside Excel.

Once connected, Landit automatically imports your data and prepares it for reporting in Excel and Power BI.

How does Landit protect my data?

Landit is built with security at its core:

  • Your data is stored in Microsoft Azure in a dedicated instance just for your business.
  • All data is encrypted at rest.
  • Each customer’s data is completely isolated from others.
  • Access is controlled through Microsoft sign-in—Landit never sees or handles your password or two-factor authentication tokens.
  • Connections to source systems use secure, encrypted tokens, with no sensitive credentials exposed.

This means your business information stays private, protected, and only accessible to the people you choose.

Getting Started

How quickly can I get started?

Landit begins importing data from your source system as soon as you connect, and structures it automatically for reporting. The time required depends on your source system and data volumes, as many systems limit how much data can be transferred in a given period. Landit keeps you updated with email notifications throughout the process, so you’ll always know the status of your import. In most cases, trial users are up and running within one to two hours.

How is Landit priced?

Landit is priced per connection, where each connection represents a single instance of a source system. For example, if your business runs two separate instances of the same system, each instance counts as its own connection. Standard pricing includes:

  • Up to 50 GB of secure data storage per connection.
  • Access for up to six named users per connection.

Pricing is subscription-based, billed monthly or annually. You only pay for the systems you actually connect, with the flexibility to add more as your needs grow.

Can I try Landit before I buy?

Yes. Your Landit trial gives you full access to all features and functionality so you can see how it works with your own data. After signing up, Landit will automatically import the last 90 days of data from your connected systems and refresh it each night for the duration of the trial, up to a maximum of 120 days of coverage. If you continue with a paid subscription, Landit will then perform a full historical import. You may cancel at any time with no commitment or charges. If you cancel, your data will be retained for seven days in case you change your mind, after which it will be permanently deleted.

I need a custom report – how do I get that?

Most reporting needs can be handled directly in Excel or Power BI using the data Landit provides—no technical skills required. You can build a report once and refresh it with a single click, without repeating downloads or manual transformations. Unlike the rigid, standard reports provided by many source systems, Landit delivers your data in a flexible, consistent format. This means you can shape reports to your exact needs, and because the data model is consistent, reports can be easily re-used and adapted across different teams. If you need something more advanced, you can build it yourself in Excel or work with one of our implementation partners to design it for you.

Can Landit scale with my business?

Yes. Landit is designed to grow with you. You can start with a single connection and add more as your needs expand, whether that means new systems, new entities, or additional teams. Standard pricing includes up to 50 GB of storage and six named users per connection, with additional capacity available if required. Landit is built to handle everything from small teams to larger organisations without extra infrastructure or technical setup.

Support

How do I get support?

We recommend working with one of our implementation partners. They’re Landit experts, understand your business systems, and can provide tailored support. That said, you’re also welcome to go it alone if you prefer—our team is always here to help. You can reach us directly at support@landit.cloud, and we’ll coordinate with you or your partner to make sure your needs are resolved quickly and effectively.

Do I need IT to set up Landit?

In most cases, you don’t need IT involvement to get started with Landit. Business users can connect their systems and begin creating reports using only their existing Excel skills. Depending on your organisation’s security policies, your IT team may be required to assist with installing the Landit Excel Add-in or approving access. Once Landit is set up, users can design and refresh their own reports without needing IT support.
